Chapter 6: “Sangjun’s Wrath and whispers of a merger.”
In the aftermath of a strategic triumph, where the elite mines and territories of OPG had fallen into his grasp, DocB, the architect of MMD’s ascendancy, found himself reflecting on his achievements—a Level 37 city that stood as a monument to his resolve and ingenuity.
He was an inspiration of hope in Nation 793, transforming MMD from a lone warrior’s dream into the mightiest hybrid of agriculture and warfare, highly protected by the stalwart KNG alliance and of course the fierce DocB himself.
As he surveyed the horizon from his city, memories of humble beginnings flooded his mind. From the solitary fight against daily sieges, to evolving into a formidable alliance revered across the lands.
Amidst these reflections, and the most dear to DocB, was the bonds forged in the crucible of conflict. Ivvannoff, the noble strategist; Thor, the steadfast guardian of their farms; and BigDaddy, the valiant warrior and leader, each had played a pivotal role in shaping the destiny of MMD.
Yet, beneath this veneer of triumph and camaraderie, a storm brewed on the horizon. Sangjun, the indomitable leader of A4O and the reigning president of Nation 793, his power legendary in the dark corners of the realm. His city was a fortress of might, unassailable and feared. Having even withstood the onslaught attack of thirty-one commanders simultaneously and still emerging unscathed—a testament to a strength that DocB knew he could not yet rival. Not even close.
Sangjun’s legacy was a double-edged sword for the KNG alliance. His victories had once been the nation’s shield against external threats, his prowess in battle the foundation of 793’s reputation.
Yet, his power, though mighty, was marred by glaring deficiencies. Sangjun’s leadership was wrought through strength and intimidation, neglecting the vital commandments that had elevated KNG. Diplomacy was rarely publicly displayed. Bravery was often lacking in the face of more formidable opponents.
Lastly, and most critically, collaboration. His regime, more autocratic than communal, stifled the spirit of unity and progress that had once flourished under the rotating presidency, a tradition he had unceremoniously dismantled in favor of absolute control.
In the quiet of his contemplation, DocB grappled with the paradox that Sangjun represented. On one flank, Sangjun’s approach to governance and warfare was antithetical to the principles that had guided MMD and KNG to prosperity. Yet, on the other, his unmatched might was an asset that could not be overlooked. Especially as rumors of a merger—a permanent unification with another nation that could alter the fate of KNG—began to be whispered among the globe.
The leadership of KNG and MMD stood at a crossroads, their vision for a united nation shadowed by the towering figure of Sangjun. DocB was undoubtedly left with more questions then answers. Would a merger occur? Would Sangjun ever turn against us? Will the presidency ever be shared again? What is KNGs plan for all of the worst case scenarios?
DocB found himself enveloped in uncertainty. The prospect of a merger loomed large, its implications shrouded in mystery. The specter of Sangjun’s potential betrayal against KNG gnawed at his thoughts, alongside the pivotal question of whether the tradition of a shared presidency could be revived. In the face of these daunting uncertainties, the pressing need for a contingency plan became evident.
In pursuit of clarity and resolution, DocB convened a summit of the Knights and GIG (KNG) – a gathering of the alliance’s most formidable R4 and R5 leaders around the legendary round table. It was here, amidst the council of his most trusted comrades, that he laid bare the quandaries that plagued their future. With the attention of all its leaders DocB spoke the following words:
“Hello my good friends. I have gathered you all here so we can discuss our plans for a possible merger. But I would like to first reiterate my commitment to KNG.
The family we created and the unity in which we join each other in battle is unmatched. It has brought us all happiness and a much needed escape from what can often be a difficult life.
Like all of you I cherish what has been built. And as such I promise to fight till the end to protect it. And along the way i will be guided by the 6 AOZ commandments of strategy, bravery, diplomacy, patience, strategic use of finances, and collaboration.
I love you all. 💙
Now let’s strategize.”
And so they did strategize for every possible scenario. Each leader giving their unique perspective. And the meeting was fruitful.
For in the politics of power and the quest for unity, alliances are forged not just in shared strength, but in the wisdom to recognize and unite on their differences. This paradigm is the essense of how KNG functions and operates. Together. As a team. As a family.
